ACM Distinguished Speakers Porgram: talks by and with technology leaders and innovators

Local Chapter Meetings

By hosting a speaker at your chapter meeting, you provide a venue for your members to engage an expert and ask critical questions about his or her field or industry. This dynamic exchange of information can provide material for subsequent professional development seminars and provide opportunities for chapter members to expand their professional networks.

You can discuss with the DSP speaker the different formats for his/her visit: lectures with Q&A, practitioner reports/case studies, or tutorials.

Chapters may also use streaming video of DSP presentations as meeting themes. Presentations on globalization and mobility are available in streaming format from the DSP.

Conferences

DSP speakers can participate at ACM and non-ACM conferences in keynote talks, tutorials or workshops. Conference organizers are encouraged to contact Lauren Ryan at ACM headquarters to discuss topics of interest and to determine if there is a match with one of our speakers.

Academic Settings

Chapter officers and faculty advisors can request speakers for events in academic settings. Depending on the request and the audience, ACM headquarters will organize events for academic settings.
